Rutland’s Home for Contact Lenses
As a team who cares about your experience as much as your eye health, we absolutely love it when we see people just like you enjoying clear, comfortable vision. One of the many ways we help serve your vision is by offering contact lens exams and fittings.
With contact lenses, you don’t have to worry about matching your eyewear with your outfit or cleaning your lenses when they fog up. Enjoy crisp vision with a little more freedom.

What Is a Contact Lens Exam & Fitting?
Whether you’re getting contact lenses or glasses, we always start the process with a fully comprehensive eye exam. Eye exams provide so much information about your vision and eye health so we can help determine if contacts are right for you.
We’ll determine your lens prescription during an eye exam while also performing various tests to look for potential eye diseases and conditions that could make contact lenses difficult to wear. Some of these issues can include dry eye, keratoconus, astigmatism, and presbyopia. However, some specialty contacts could help give you clear sight even if you experience these conditions.
Fittings help us ensure your contact lenses are comfortable and clear throughout your day. If you find your contacts are uncomfortable to wear, please remove them and reach out to us for help.
Types of Contact Lenses
Contact lens technology has vastly improved over the past couple of decades, allowing them to address a wide range of issues while still providing comfortable, crisp vision.
Our modern eye care practices help our team determine what type of contact lens may serve you best. There are several different contact lens types available, and we’re proud to offer them to you and your family.
Please book an appointment with us if you’re ready to see the difference contact lenses can make in your life!
Soft Contact Lenses
Soft contact lenses are one of the most common types of contacts people wear. These lenses are made from soft materials, making them easy to adjust to while also correcting refractive errors like nearsightedness, farsightedness, presbyopia, and astigmatism.
Depending on your needs and lifestyle, we may recommend daily wear, extended-wear, or overnight contacts.
CooperVision MiSight Contact Lenses
Myopia, or nearsightedness, is a growing concern for many parents around the globe. Currently, nearly 30% of children have some degree of myopia, but MiSight contact lenses can help control myopia’s effects, helping your child preserve their vision quality as they grow older!
MiSight uses a technique called myopic defocus to help focus images on the retina in a way that sends signals to the eye that slow down myopia progression. Studies have shown that MiSight contacts can reduce myopia progression by 59%!
